'Love Next Door' tells the story of Bae Seok Ryu (Jung So Min), who tries to fix her troubled life, and her mother's friend's son, Choi Seung Hyo (Jung Hae In).
"Love Next Door" will start airing in a matter of days. On Monday (5/8), the production team of the tvN drama released stills and interviews of Jung So Min, who plays the main character named Bae Seok Ryu.
"Love Next Door" is a new romantic comedy drama about Seok Ryu, who tries to fix her troubled life, and her mother's friend's son, Choi Seung Hyo (Jung Hae In), who is marked as a dark chapter in the woman's life.
The stills of "Love Next Door" show Seok Ryu's glory days. He graduated from a prestigious university in the United States with excellent grades, joined a global conglomerate, and has been walking a perfect path without stopping.
Seok Ryu also took the lead in making important presentations for the company. His eyes shone with confidence and calmness. The woman seemed to be imitating the style of Steve Jobs, the figure who founded the technology company Apple Inc.
In her interview, So Min revealed, "Bae Seok Ryu is a character who, while running on the path of success implicitly set by society, begins to feel disappointed with that life due to certain events and seeks his own path."
So Min then revealed the similarities she felt from Seok Ryu. "I also sometimes feel overwhelmed by life and gradually learn to live at my own pace and way. That's why I couldn't help but empathize with Seok Ryu and approach the character with a heart that supports him," she continued.
Meanwhile, "Love Next Door" is being prepared as a replacement for "The Auditors" in the Saturday-Sunday night slot. The drama, which also stars Kim Ji Eun, is scheduled to air starting August 17. Don't miss watching it. (wk/amal)
