Chaeyeon initially apologized and edited her post to tag Rei. However, Chaeyeon eventually decided to delete the controversial photo.

Lee Chaeyeon uploaded an OOTD (Outfit of The Day) portrait wearing a local brand on August 3. The idol showed off her fair skin, long legs, and perfect body shape, although her face was mostly covered.

In order to make her post more lively, Chaeyeon even added a doodle to her photo. However, the OOTD doodle made by the idol immediately drew controversy because it was accused of stealing a doodle that Rei IVE had used.

According to several internet users, the image was not a filter. Chaeyeon received a lot of criticism not only on X, but also in the comments section of her Instagram account, until the situation became very intense.

Chaeyeon finally replied to a netizen's comment accusing her of using Rei's doodle. "Oh, I really don't know. I'm sorry," Chaeyeon replied. The idol then edited her post and tagged Rei.

However, Chaeyeon eventually decided to delete the photo. The idol's actions made fans feel sorry because their idol was forced to delete her photo and apologize for an absurd reason, even though Rei actually had no special rights to the doodle.

"Whoever left that comment was so rude, Chaeyeon. Don't listen to them, you're just following the trend, there's nothing wrong with that. You're amazing[sic!]," wrote one fan. "There's nothing wrong with you, Chaeyeon[sic!]," added another.

"Had to delete the photo because of those lowlifes. They really need to get their lives in order[sic!]," said another fan. "You don't have to apologize for following the trend. I love you![sic!]," added another.

Meanwhile, Chaeyeon recently participated in the water-themed summer music festival, "WATERBOMB BUSAN," on July 27. Despite her first appearance, she showed her extraordinary presence as the "Queen of Performance" by performing solo songs such as "Summer Heat," "LET'S DANCE," and "KNOCK." (wk/amal)
