Doyoung suddenly talked about the plot of the drama "Lovely Runner" when NCT 127 held a live broadcast on July 7. The live broadcast was actually held to celebrate the 8th anniversary of their group's debut in the K-Pop entertainment industry.
The NCT 127 members initially chatted casually, but the atmosphere turned serious when Doyoung started talking about the plot of "Lovely Runner" which he had just watched. "To be honest, there's something I've wanted to say since yesterday," said Doyoung.
"I was very touched by something yesterday. I was watching the popular drama, 'Lovely Runner' and saw the scene where the female lead Im Sol (Kim Hye Yoon) tried to stop Sun Jae (Byeon Woo Seok) from becoming a singer," he added.
Doyoung was really touched by Im Sol's dialogue. "During that scene, Sol told him (Sun Jae) to live for himself. I get goosebumps, even now when I think about it again. However, he (Sol) was angry when he said that," added Doyoung.
Doyoung also revealed the reason he cried when watching the scene in "Lovely Runner". "But, I felt it was something our fans also wanted to tell us. I cried when I watched it yesterday," he recalled.
"I feel it more deeply because today is our eighth anniversary. I'm even more grateful that fans see us with such hearts. OK, pretend you don't hear this so I can tell this story again somewhere else," he concluded.
After finishing the live broadcast, Doyoung left a touching message for fans via Bubble. "I want to say one last thing before today ends! If I want to live for myself, I have to keep working hard at singing," he said.
Doyoung emphasized that he had lived for himself, just like Sol asked Sun Jae. "Thankfully, you listened to the song that was made for me, and I started singing the song for us. So, I don't live a life of sacrificing myself, but I live a blessed life. Thank you once again," concluded Doyoung. (wk/charity)
