HyunA's wedding announcement has sparked anger among international netizens, especially because of Junhyung's past and HyunA's relationship with her ex-boyfriend, DAWN.
HyunA is back in the spotlight after the announcement of her marriage to Yong Jun Hyung, a controversial figure who was involved in the Burning Sun scandal. This announcement drew anger from many fans, especially those who supported the career of his ex-girlfriend, DAWN (E'DAWN), who they considered to have sacrificed a lot for HyunA.
Previously, HyunA and DAWN broke up after getting engaged. When DAWN only discussed the good things about HyunA, one day the "Red" singer's words made many people angry because he implied he was reluctant to get married while attending "Radio Star" as a guest star. This remark was brought up again shortly after news of HyunA's engagement to Jun Hyung was fixed.
In her appearance at that time, HyunA said, "I was proposed to not long ago, but... I don't want to get married."

Meanwhile, HyunA and Jun Hyung both had careers at the same agency, namely, CUBE Entertainment. At that time, HyunA debuted with 4Minute and Jun Hyung debuted with BEAST in 2009, as the agency's first girl group and boy group. HyunA and Jun Hyung even collaborated on the single "Change" in 2010.
Since 4Minute decided to disband, HyunA has been active as a solo singer and part of Triple H. However, HyunA left CUBE Entertainment after it was revealed that she was dating DAWN. HyunA and DAWN were engaged, but they have now separated.
On the other hand, Jun Hyung left CUBE along with other BEAST members who changed the group's identity to Highlight. In 2019, Jun Hyung left the group as a consequence of being caught up in a group chat scandal.
