SEVENTEEN Has Shown A More Detailed Caratbong Design Version 3 Than Before. But SEVENTEEN's newest lightstick makes fans protest more and more at Pledis Entertainment,
SEVENTEEN (II) has launched a clearer Caratbong design version 3 on Monday (20/3). Previously, the newest lightstick for the 13-member boy group reaped pros and cons because of its design.
As is well known, light sticks are important merchandise for groups and fandoms including for SEVENTEEN and Carat. The lightstick design is considered to represent the identity of the group and its fandom. In this case, Caratbong aka SEVENTEEN's lightstick was protested because the new design was beyond expectations.
The Caratbong version 3 design looks more edgy with a dark iridescent handle, a dome-shaped head and a diamond in the center complete with a cross section. Caratbong ver 3 will be equipped with accessories in the form of a lightstick ring bearing the names of the 13 members.
Originally the new version of SEVENTEEN's lightstick design was shown in black. So it was just revealed that the handle has a holographic color like version 2 but with a different base color. Version 2 has a hilt with a blue base color.

Carat's disappointment with the new version of SEVENTEEN's lightstick was voiced against Pledis Entertainment. So that "Caratbong", "Pledis" and "Carats" became a trending topic on Twitter. Many are disappointed why the design seems to have removed Carat's identity and only shows the official colors of the rose quartz and serenity fandom on the box only.
"No, they put the official fandom colors only on the packaging," said one of the fans. "This doesn't show SEVENTEEN or Carat for me," added other fans. "I think SEVENTEEN's comeback will be darker, I'm sure," said another.
On the other hand, not a few fans think that the latest SEVENTEEN lightstick design is okay. This group considers that SEVENTEEN is entering a new, more mature era so that the Caratbong form is adjusted.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN is currently appearing on the "In The SOOP SVT Version" Season 2 program. In the program, they show their daily lives while on break and away from the busy world of entertainment. (wk/inta)
