Jin Sun Kyu will soon greet viewers through the new SBS drama "Through The Darkness". Ahead of the broadcast, he revealed various interesting things about his role in this drama.

Set in the late 1990s, "Through The Darkness" is based on the story of South Korea's first criminal profiler. He looks into the hearts of serial killers when the word "profile" doesn't exist yet.

The story focuses on Song Ha Young (Kim Nam Gil), a member of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Criminal Behavior Analysis team. He has a friend and colleague named Guk Young Soo (Jin Sun Kyu), who will work with him in investigating a serial murder case.

In a recent interview, Jin Sun Kyu revealed his reason for starring in this drama. He said, "The first profiler in Korea. The thought of the 'crazy desire' of people digging into the unpredictable inner darkness to catch serial killers is exciting. I had no choice but to choose this drama without hesitation."

Jin Sun Kyu then revealed the details of his character. He explained, "Recognizing the need for criminal psychological analysis, Guk Young Soo was the first to create Korea's 'Criminal Behavior Analysis Team' after strategizing for a long time, and he was also the one who found Song Ha Young."

He continued, "It will not be easy to create a role that has never existed in any organization before and convince people of the absolute necessity of this unknown position.
