Former Agency Colleagues Pity Girls' Generation's Tae Yeon Becomes a Girl Group Member
Jungmo, who debuted and promoted under SM before his departure from the agency in 2019, said that Tae Yeon has more musical talent than anyone else knows.

In MBC FM4U's "Kim Shin Young's Hope Song at Noon" broadcast on January 14, singer and guitarist Kim Jung Mo appeared in the "Any Song Top 7" section. Here, the former TraxX guitarist praises Girls' Generation's IU and Tae Yeon, highlighting the latter's commendable vocals.

When introducing Tae Yeon's "I", Kim Shin Young and Jungmo praised the female singer's musical abilities and skills. "I asked all my friends who switched from girl groups to solo to see Tae Yeon. You don't know how smart Tae Yeon is so I will choose her as the 'genius' in the girl group. Not many people are as smart, sing well, and are good at entertainment like him," said Kim Shin Young.

Jungmo, who debuted and promoted under SM Entertainment before his departure from the agency in 2019, also said, "Tae Yeon has more musical talent than you know. Tae Yeon still has a lot to reveal. She has a lot of talent."

Shin Young then called IU a "model book" of solo singers. Although she was briefly mentioned, she and Jungmo implied that IU was the "role model" or "standard" for debuting solo artists. Kim Shin Young added, "...and the 'model book' of girl groups is Tae Yeon."

Jungmo proved it and praised her even more, saying, "Tae Yeon is a promising talent since she first joined SM. I can't believe this friend is a trainee after hearing her vocal tone. It stands out incomparably. I remember saying that it's a shame she singing (part of) a group (instead of solo)."

On the other hand, Tae Yeon will be releasing a new song, "Can't Control Myself," on January 17. This song is a song from Tae Yeon's third album which will be released in February. The song "Can't Control Myself," is a pop-punk genre ballad with a strong voice, expressing love for the other person's heart, intuitively feeling that he or she will be hurt and hurt. (wk/goddess)
