BTS (Bangtan Boys) are ready to dive into a new world with their upcoming original webtoon series, "7Fates: CHAKHO." Ahead of its release, HYBE released a poster featuring the most handsome members.
At the 2021 Briefing With The Community, HYBE announced plans to release new webtoons for their artists, including BTS. BTS's new webtoon, "7Fates: CHAKHO," is an urban fantasy story inspired by tiger hunters from the Joseon Dynasty.
South Korea was once home to a high population of Siberian tigers, to the point of being overrun. Tiger attacks became so common that in 1421, King Sejong introduced Chakhogapsa, the tiger hunter.
Chakhogapsa are specially appointed soldiers who have proven their hunting abilities, including the accuracy with which they can hit targets on horseback. The RM (Rap Monster) characters in the webtoon are based on them.
In the released poster, the BTS members show their charms that are just like movie stars. The seven members posed in black and white outfits, showing off various interesting expressions.
"7Fates: CHAKHO" takes place in a dystopian city. The plot of the story will take an old story about a tiger hunter while creating a new story for readers to enjoy.
Just like "Save Me," "7Fates: CHAKHO" follows seven boys, CHAKHO the tiger hunter, whose fates are intertwined. Together, CHAKHO face trials and tribulations while defeating "Beom."
“Beom” is the Korean word for tiger, but Beom in BTS' webtoon may have a supernatural touch. When introducing the story, Jin described Beom as a monster. BTS's Jimin said that creatures from Korean folklore will be part of the plot.
Meanwhile, the BTS webtoon "7Fates: CHAKHO" will be released worldwide starting January 14, 2022. Anyone can't wait? (wk/chus)
