Chansung and JYP Entertainment's contracts expire in January 2022, what about the other 2PM members?

Following Chansung's Marriage Announcement And Expiration Of Chansung's Exclusive Contract, JYP Released An Official Statement To Announce The Remaining Contracts Of The Other 2PM Members.

Chansung's wedding announcement 2PM successfully surprised many parties. Because he suddenly announced four news at once including dating, marriage, first child and also the end of his contract with JYP Entertainment.

Chansung said, "My contract with JYP Entertainment, which I have been with for 15 years, will expire in January 2022. With the start of my new family accompanied by a new life, I discussed with the agency to start my own path. We agreed not to renew our contract together."

This also makes fans wonder about the remaining contracts of the other 2PM members, namely Jun.K, Nichkhun, Wooyoung and Junho. In response to this, JYP Entertainment stated that apart from Chansung, the other 2PM members' contracts were still long.

JYP Entertainment stated, "The length of time to renew the contract is different for each member. In Chansung's case, his contract period has ended."

"And the remaining members Jun.K, Nichkhun, Wooyoung and Junho still have a lot of time left before their contracts expire," added the agency.

Before Chansung, Taecyeon first left JYP Entertainment in 2018. He then signed an exclusive contract with 51K.

Despite leaving the agency, Taecyeon is still a member and is participating in 2PM's comeback this year. That's why fans hope Chansung will continue his activities as a member of 2PM even after leaving JYP Entertainment.

On the other hand, 2PM debuted in 2008 under JYP Entertainment. Since then, they have received a lot of attention and have had many hits including "Again and Again", "10 Out of 10", "Heartbeat" and many more. (wk/eval)
