Highlights will return to greet fans with their third mini album titled "The Blowing". Highlight then guest starred in "Ask Us Anything" episode 277 as one of their album promotion agenda.
When the members of "Ask Us Anything" or also known as "Knowing Brothers" finished answering Yoon Doo Joon's questions, Kang Ho Dong suddenly questioned Lee Kikwang's religion. The group's mainstay dancer, formerly known as Beast, is rumored to have changed religions.
"I heard from the production crew that Ki Kwang changed religions," said Kang Ho Dong. "I did not change religions. Impossible. This is a big problem," said Kikwang, straightening out the misunderstanding that was circulating.
It seems that Kikwang began to be rumored to have changed religions since he was serving in the military as a police officer. Furthermore, the singer of "What You Like" explained about religious activities that are routinely held at military camps.
"I didn't change religions. I've been Christian since I was little. But when I go to the training camp once a week on Sundays, we do religious activities," explained Kikwang. "So beforehand, we heard rumors about what religion, serve what dishes. This is very valuable when you are in training camp. That's the way to survive for a week."
Kikwang added, "Even though I am a Christian, I participate in Buddhist activities, Catholic activities, and Won-Buddhism activities."
Behind Kikwang's participation in Won-Buddhism activities, it seems that longing for the other Highlight personnel is one of the triggers. Because they are not allowed to use cell phones, Kikwang, Dongwoon, and Yoseob, who are both police officers, made an appointment to meet in Won-Buddhism religious activities.
"We joined the Nonsan training camp three weeks apart. So we had one week to train together," said Dongwoon. "We made an appointment beforehand. During that religious activity, we made an appointment and met during the Won-Buddhism activities."
"Because the followers of Won-Buddhism are the fewest. Chances of meeting are higher," added Yoseob. "Because we don't have cell phones, we don't communicate when and where we meet. We promised to meet at Won-Buddhism activities after three weeks. But we did meet," continued Kikwang, who made the members of "Knowing Brothers" confess to be touched.
But not Doo Joon, who actually feels lonely because he is the only Highlight member serving in the Army. "It's true, I feel lonely. This is my session but they talk about their story. I feel lonely in a situation like this," concluded Doo Joon.
Meanwhile, Highlight will release a new album and MV on May 3. This is the first time a highlight comeback after Yong Jun Hyung had to leave the group in 2019 because he was dragged into an illegal video scandal with Jung Joon Young. (wk / nere)
