With the various works they have produced in 2020, Billboard chose BTS and BLACKPINK with their albums 'Map of the Soul: 7' and 'THE ALBUM' into the best albums curated by Billboard editors to enter the '50 Best. Albums of 2020 ′.
For the album released in February, BTS earned a place at No. 33 on the Billboard staff curation chart. They also wrote, "This 20-song album has soared to the top of the Billboard 200 - without the big help of US radio - the first of two songs to reach a peak that the group will not reach this year."
For BLACKPINK, Billboard ranked the girl group's first full album, “THE ALBUM” released in October at No. 25.
