'The Price of Confession' was planned to be produced since early 2023. However, Song Hye Kyo and Han So Hee decided to leave as the main cast.
"The Price of Confession" has found new cast members after Song Hye Kyo and Han So Hee decided to leave. On Tuesday (30/7), the production team announced that Kim Go Eun, Jeon Do Yeon, Park Hae Soo, and Jin Sun Kyu have officially become the main cast members.
"The Price of Confession" was planned to be produced since early 2023. However, Hye Kyo and So Hee, who previously agreed to be the main cast members, decided not to star in the drama after a long discussion.
Now, the production team of "The Price of Confession" has released a portrait of Go Eun and friends attending the script reading session. The cast members seemed to immediately get into their respective characters when they started saying their lines in the Netflix drama.
On the other hand, "The Price of Confession" will focus on the character An Yun Soo who is the main suspect in her husband's murder. As she struggles to clear her name, a mysterious woman named Mo Eun is also involved.
Mo Eun is known as a "witch" among the inmates because of her extraordinary ability to read people. The drama explores the complicated relationship between these two characters and the secrets they reveal.
In "The Price of Confession," Do Yeon plays Yun Soo, a woman whose perfect life is shattered by the mysterious death of her husband. Meanwhile, Go Eun plays the character Mo Eun, a woman who approaches Yun Soo secretly.
Next, Hae Soo plays Baek Dong Hun, a prosecutor known for his unwavering commitment to justice and his ability to solve cases accurately. His mission is to uncover the truth behind Yun Soo and Mo Eun's secrets.
Lastly, Sun Kyu plays Jang Jung Goo, Yun Soo's lawyer who is relentless in proving the woman's innocence. He uses his background as a former boxer to handle the case tenaciously.
Meanwhile, "The Price of Confession" is directed by Lee Jung Hyo, who is known for her work on global hits "Crash Landing on You," "Doona!" and "The Good Wife."
