Jin also talked about the sad condition of his fellow conscripts who were around 19 years old. This is what made Jin finally spend his military salary to treat his colleagues.
Jin BTS underwent an interview with Weverse Magazine which was released on Wednesday (10/7). The idol who was born in 1992 tells about his military life. Jin said he didn't really feel like his military service was over.
"It feels like I'm on leave and have to go back to base. It feels like I'm still not really finished with military service. I still feel sleepy around 10 or 11 at night, but I have to get back to my work schedule," said Jin.
Jin was then asked about his fellow military personnel who cried when he finished military service. "People don't always cry, of course, but they cry when good seniors leave. For me, it's not about being a good senior, but more because I'm popular," he answered.
Jin also said that he spent his military salary to treat his colleagues in the military. "I spent my military salary and then bought food for everyone. Many of them had just turned 19 and had never even had a job before," he said.
Because he felt his finances were more stable, Jin decided to treat his fellow conscripts. "I said to them, 'You have to eat well to stay healthy. Come on, I'll treat you. I bought them so much fried chicken, jokbal and pizza, they got bored," he added.
Jin not only treated colleagues in one of his barracks, but also others. "I even invited people from other barracks to have a barbecue," he continued. Jin also said that he often jokes with his colleagues.
Jin then revealed why he was called a god by his fellow military personnel. "We were just playing around like that, and I would treat them all to dinner. That made the guys in my squad call me a god, not to brag," he continued.
"As soon as they see me, they will say, 'Worship him!'," said Jin. The singer of the song "The Astronaut" then expressed his gratitude because his colleagues and juniors also treated him well. (wk/charity)
