EXID's Hani and psychiatrist Yang Jae Woong announced their dating relationship in June 2022. Then in early 2024, Hani announced her engagement to Jae Woong.
Psychiatrist Yang Jae Woong, who is EXID's Hani's fiance, was a guest star on the "Table For Four" program on July 8. The man told the story of the moment when he took Hani to meet his family and introduced the idol as his future wife.
Jae Woong revealed the worries his mother felt. "My mother always had a lot of worries. Because my brother and I are still single, there hasn't been much change in our family for some time," said the man.
"My mother is worried about the changes that will occur with my marriage," added Jae Woong. The man then revealed that his mother had advised Hani and asked his fiancé to think again about wedding plans.
"My girlfriend and I had finished eating with my parents and we were getting ready to leave. Then, my mother grabbed Hani's hand and said, 'You have to reconsider your wedding plans wisely'," recalled Jae Woong.
Jae Woong immediately panicked at his mother's words. "'Mom, what are you talking about?'. I said so, but anyway, my boyfriend, laughed out loud at my mother's advice. He found it very funny, and his laughter made my mother laugh too," he said.
Seeing the closeness that existed between Hani and her mother, Jae Woong became more confident in continuing his wedding plans. "Watching how well Hani gets along with my family makes me feel more confident about our marriage," he said.
Jae Woong felt that the advice his mother gave Hani was very reasonable for a young woman who suddenly wanted to get married. "I believe what my mother said to Hani was her advice for a woman in her early 30s," she concluded.
