Fans poured criticism on the production team for their negligence in setting up the stage equipment. Especially before the incident that Yujin experienced, there were many cases where artists were injured.

The safety issue caused by negligence in preparing stage equipment has resurfaced due to the incident that Ahn Yujin IVE recently experienced. Previously, the stage accident experienced by Wendy Red Velvet was also in the spotlight.

Yujin and his group, IVE appeared on a special episode of "Music Core" entitled "2023 Ulsan Summer Festival" on August 12. While singing the high notes of the song "I AM", firecrackers suddenly exploded near Yujin's standing position.

The smoke from the firecrackers hit Yujin's face so he couldn't open his eyes for about 10 seconds. However, when returning to the singing part, the IVE leader showed his professional side by opening his eyes and smiling brightly as if nothing had happened.

Although there was no serious accident, fans poured criticism on the production team for their negligence in setting up the stage equipment. Especially before the incident that Yujin had, there were many cases where artists were injured because of stage equipment.

During the rehearsal for the 2019 SBS Gayo Daejeon, Wendy fell from a platform more than 2 meters high due to damage to the stage equipment and improper installation of transfer devices between stages.

The accident left Wendy with serious injuries, such as wrist and hip fractures and a fractured cheekbone. Netizens were even more frustrated to find out the production team went ahead with the rehearsal without taking proper action.

Last year, MAMAMOO's Wheein also injured his eye during a university festival performance when firecracker powder got into his eye. The idol had to receive treatment at the hospital after completing his stage performance.

Although stage accidents often occur, there is no improvement, and similar incidents continue to occur. Therefore, voices calling for concert producers to prioritize the artist's safety are increasing.

Since it is difficult to predict every accident in advance, proper precautions must be taken, such as placing firecrackers away from the stage. While it is important to improve the quality of the stage with multiple devices, the event production team must not forget to pay special attention to the safety of the artists. (wk/goddess)
