Lim Ji Yeon faced a completely different life from 'The Glory' to 'Lies Hidden in My Garden'. In her new drama, the actress becomes a wife who experiences domestic violence.
Lim Ji Yeon immediately made a comeback with a new drama after her success in playing the evil character Park Yeon Jin in "The Glory". But now the actress plays the character Choo Sang Eun, the wife of domestic violence in "Lies Hidden in My Garden".
Ji Yeon faces a completely different life from "The Glory" to "Lies Hidden in My Garden". In her new drama, Sang Eun's character becomes pregnant and suffers verbal and physical abuse from her husband, Kim Yoon Bum (Choi Jae Rim).
Korean media also compared Ji Yeon's acting when starring in "The Glory" and "Lies Hidden in My Garden". In "The Glory", the actress garnered praise when being completely evil and not feeling guilty about the bullying she committed.
But that image is lost in "Lies Hidden in My Garden" although Ji Yeon still reaps praise. Ji Yeon presents an interesting character arc for Sang Eun. Starting as a hopeless and lifeless woman beside Yoon Bum, she gradually ignites the desire to live after her husband's death.
In particular, the scene where Sang Eun eats her food - a scene that was previously viral on SNS - vividly depicts her psychological changes. His acting power was praised beyond measure by the Korean media.
The actress vividly portrayed the image of Sang Eun - a pregnant mother who was barely able to eat because of her abusive husband, exploding her suppressed hunger and indirectly eating jajangmyeon after the man's death.
The poignant sight of Sang Eun chewing an apple in tears after making a choice also resonates strongly with her husband's death. Ji Yeon also showed great chemistry when acting with Kim Tae Hee.
Meanwhile, "Lies Hidden in My Garden: consistently experienced an increase in the number of viewers in the first four episodes, even securing the top position in its streaming site category. One of its main attractions lies in the finely honed thriller aspect. Don't miss watching, OK? (wk/charity)
