Kim So Yeon recently released a post on her Instagram explaining the controversy that arose because of her comments while appearing on “You Quiz on the Block.” Previously on the tvN show, the star of the series “The Penthouse” revealed that her husband Lee Sang Woo doesn't often turn on the heater.
In particular, Kim So Yeon said, “Back then, Sang Woo had the belief that in order not to feel sad because it's cold outside, the temperature in the room must be kept at a suitable temperature.” and Kim So Yeon said her husband set a day to turn on the heater. "I often get cold, so I want to run the boiler from the end of September to October. But he said, 'No.' My birthday is November 2nd, and he said he'd turn it on then."
Kim So Yeon continued, “On my birthday last year, we both counted to three and pressed the heating button together. There's a good thing about doing this. Birthdays don't really mean much as we get older now, so we don't know how long we've been waiting for our birthdays. I thought, 'Oh, something good is happening on my birthday'."
As fans' worries poured in after the broadcast of “You Quiz”, Kim So Yeon had to make an explanation via her SNS by saying, “We decided to turn on the heater at the right time instead of turning it on too early and increase our immunity through exercise for the sake of my health. We agreed to do it in early November. As a fun challenge, we started doing it on November 2nd, my birthday! Thanks to this, I feel healthier. Actually, (Lee Sang Wooo) doesn't really like it when the house is too warm. I feel sorry for her having to endure the overly warm atmosphere every fall and winter because of me. I couldn't express my idea well and shortened my expression. But I had so much fun on my birthday last year and it's a good memory for me. Thank you for your attention."
Meanwhile, Kim So Yeon is currently starring in tvN's Saturday-Sunday drama “Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938” which aired its first episode on May 6. Kim So Yeon plays Ryu Hong Joo, a former western mountain god who is currently the owner of Myoyeongak, an upscale restaurant in Gyeongseong who has long been entangled with Lee Yeon's (Lee Dong Wook) charms but received rejection.
