Jungkook recently carried out a live broadcast on Weverse and made his fans excited after dancing to the song 'Hype Boy' belonging to rookie girl group NewJeans.
Jungkook added to the list of celebrities who participated in the challenge of dancing to NewJeans' song "Hype Boy". It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that NewJeans are taking the K-Pop industry by storm with their debut mini album in August 2022. All four songs from the record achieved global success, but "Hype Boy" is in a league of its own.
After the choreography of the song went viral on the internet, there is hardly anyone left in South Korea who doesn't participate in dance challenges on social media. During the event, fans of various celebrities would ask them to dance to "Hype Boy" due to how popular the challenge was and it still is on social media.
BTS as seniors of the same label from NewJeans, have shown their support for the group on several occasions. RM and J-Hope also performed the "Hype Boy" dance. Now Jungkook did the same during his live broadcast.
It is proven that BTS members like NewJeans' music. But neither of them have ever taken on a “Hype Boy” challenge on social media. When Jungkook finally did it during a two-hour Weverse live, of course, it was a frenzy. This BTS Maknae often has house parties with ARMY, drinking beer, singing about 30 songs, and chatting with fans in between.
Jungkook also occasionally does a move or two, mostly when he has to get up to get something or go to the restroom. While getting up to get his beer, "Hype Boy" was playing and on his way back from the fridge to the couch, Jungkook suddenly choreographed with a can of beer in one hand and a glass in the other.
