One Twitter user even announced that they would give a prize of 5,000 pesos (around Rp. 1.4 million) for anyone who could throw a cake or cupcake at Jennie.
BLACKPINK's Jennie is under threat of being the target of a premeditated attack at her group's upcoming concert in the Philippines. After hearing this, many fans immediately became anxious because they were worried about the safety of the 1996-born singer.
After a month of rest in February, BLACKPINK will continue their "BORN PINK" world tour across Asia, specifically across Southeast Asian countries starting in early March. However, as the tour resumed, international fans became concerned about potential attacks aimed at Jennie during the two-night concert in the Philippines from March 25 to 26.
On Twitter, many have publicly stated their intentions in a series of offensive and threatening posts. One Twitter user even announced that they would give a prize of 5,000 pesos (around Rp. 1.4 million) for anyone who could throw a cake or cupcake at Jennie.
In response, international fans trended the hashtag #KeepJennieSafe to forward the threat to YG Entertainment. Fans are also demanding increased security for the BLACKPINK rapper at the upcoming concert.
The reason for the sudden spike in effeminacy stems from a post comparing Lisa versus Jennie's birthday cake. One Twitter account said that Jennie's birthday cake at the "BORN PINK" concert in Hong Kong was bigger than Lisa's.
However, it's revealed that the birthday cake for Lisa is actually from 2019, so it's a different size. International fans are furious at the distorted truth and hate that Jennie got next. Currently, Jennie is receiving hate comments on Twitter and Instagram. (wk/goddess)
