Previously, Caratland aka SEVENTEEN's fandom was shaken up because the latest lightstick design was beyond expectations. S.Coups and The8 finally opened their voices regarding Caratbong version 3 which had been protested.

SEVENTEEN (II) has just released Caratbong version 3 with a completely new design. After its release, the group's new lightstick reaped pros and cons among fans. Regarding the increasingly excited protests, S.Coups and The8 finally gave their responses.

On Saturday (4/3), S.Coups and The8 went live on Weverse to talk about a number of things and communicate with fans. One of the discussions between the two SEVENTEEN members was about Caratbong version 3.

"We are aware... and we are talking about it," said S.Coups.

As a reliable leader, the owner of the name Choi Seungcheol indicated that he had already spoken to PLEDIS Entertainment regarding this matter. Protests filed by fans have also been accommodated.

"When I saw it in person it was cool... although it's a shame it doesn't have our colors," said The8. "I like it for the light," said S. Coups.

Then S.Coups and The8 asked Carats to like him. They confirmed that they knew what was the complaint and would remember it.

Previously, Caratbong Ver 3 was protested because it was considered to have lost SEVENTEEN's identity and fandom. With the current design, there is no element of rose quartz and serenity as the group's official colors.

As is well known, light sticks are important merchandise for groups and fandoms including for SEVENTEEN and Carat. The lightstick design is considered to represent the identity of the group and its fandom. In this case, Caratbong aka SEVENTEEN's lightstick was protested because the new design was beyond expectations.

The Caratbong version 3 design looks edgier with a dark iridescent handle, a dome-shaped head and a diamond in the center complete with a cross section. Caratbong ver 3 will be equipped with accessories in the form of a lightstick ring bearing the names of the 13 members. Even though they both have holographic designs, version 2 has a blue base color handle which is considered more representative of the fandom.

Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN closed the past year with their “Be The Sun” World Tour which successfully held 21 cities and performed 29 shows. Currently, the BooSeokSoon (SEVENTEEN BSS) unit has been actively promoting its second album "Second Wind" since early February. (wk/inta)
