Suga Apologizes After Hoshi SEVENTEEN Called BTS Created High Performance Standards in K-Pop

Throwing compliments at each other, Hoshi SEVENTEEN told Suga that BTS has made the performance standards of today's K-Pop groups rise as they chatted on the new episode of 'SUCHWITA'.

It is undeniable that BTS has had a lot of influence on the K-Pop industry. Working in the same environment, Hoshi SEVENTEEN (II) told Suga how BTS had created such high standards, one of which was performance.

When he was a guest of the latest episode of "SUCHWITA" which aired on YouTube BANGTAN TV, Hoshi, while praising BTS, conveyed his thoughts. To that, Suga immediately gave a heartwarming response humbly apologizing. "Hyung do you know? Recently it was at another award ceremony that started the trend with lots of dancers and made the stage stand out," said Hoshi. "And now everyone is doing it."

Since BTS gave such an artistic stage, Hoshi felt that they should also do a large-scale performance. In his explanation, the owner of the name Kwon Soonyoung implies that his seniors set high standards in terms of performances.

Suga then gave a very humble response. While joking, Min Yoongi apologized for raising the public's expectations of the K-Pop industry.

"Because people have a lot of expectations of K-Pop, I'm sorry for what we've done to K-Pop. We did a lot of things we shouldn't have done," said Suga.

Hearing Suga's words, Hoshi laughed. Suga then went on to apologize for starting the behind-the-scenes content trend for daily MVs and vlogs.

Then Hoshi assured that many K-Pop groups including SEVENTEEN were positively influenced by BTS. By following their path, each group and fans are connected in a positive way.

"But when I watch award ceremony performances, hyung really does a lot of things to regret," Hoshi said with a laugh. "I'm really sorry," said Suga.

Even though their chat was colored with jokes, Suga still felt bad because the new idol had to work extra. This statement shows his concern and down-to-earth attitude towards the industry. According to him, when BTS just debuted, they had to do a lot of things. (wk/inta)
