Beomgyu and TXT's Huening Kai became a lively conversation because wearing hanbok, which was said to be only worn by noble families, immediately became a conversation.
Last week, TXT made a splash because they gave their appearance wearing traditional South Korean clothes, namely hanbok. Yeonjun, Soobin, and Taehyun wore green hanbok. Meanwhile, Beomgyu and Huening Kai wore yellow hanbok.
This selection of different hanbok then caught the attention. The reason is, the yellow hanbok is reportedly not allowed to be worn casually.
The yellow hanbok reportedly hints at royalty. Thus, it can only be used by people who do have royal blood.

Beomgyu was revealed to have the surname Choi from the Gyeongju clan. It is the noblest and longest running clan in the history of the nobility.

The Gyeongju Choi clan has existed for 12 generations or around 300 years. This clan even has a special house in the Daegu area, Gyeongsang Province.
Huening Kai has royal blood from German descent, which was confirmed directly by his father. He is a descendant of Johann Wilhelm Huening, a respected Kai family who is said to have had many castles and gardens in the 1800s.

Even though he is of royal descent, there is no confirmation regarding the choice of the color of the hanbok used by TXT. Thus, it is not known whether Beomgyu and Huening Kai wore it because of their royal blood or the choice of the stylist.
