On January 5, Sooyoung became a hot topic on the social media platform Twitter after clips and actions of her past resurfaced. On this day, a fan account shared a video of Sooyoung dancing to "Gee" during a rehearsal to commemorate their 14th anniversary since the release of the song in 2009.
Immediately after being uploaded, the video garnered around 1 million views while the post surpassed 2.5 million views, becoming a hot topic among SONEs. In context, the video created a buzz, thanks to Sooyoung for inviting laughter.
There, Sooyoung looked sluggish throughout their “Gee” rehearsal performance, barely dancing. He even put on his sunglasses and blanket with his unperturbed expression. In contrast, YoonA and Tae Yeon can be seen dancing enthusiastically in the background.
When the video went viral, SONE thanked Sooyoung for debuting early as a 2nd generation idol. The reason? Her "Queen Behavior", which was dismissed as a joke by old fans, might be greatly misunderstood by new fans if she were introduced in the new era.
