BLACKPINK is in the public spotlight because the concept of the video clip for their latest single, Ready For Love is said to be imitating aespa.
A number of netizens said that there were several scenes in the MV for the song Ready For Love that imitated the concept of the album belonging to the girl group AESPA.
Launching Allkpop, Saturday (30/7/2022), a netizen discussed it on an online community forum and made a post entitled, "Did BLACKPINK plagiarize aespa?"
The netizen also included several photos from BLACKPINK's Ready For Love video clip, as well as various album concepts shown by AESPA.
When compared side by side, there are indeed several styles and elements that seem at first glance similar.
This made netizens surprised and commented on the similarities between BLACKPINK's video clip and the concept of aespa album.
"Isn't this basically just imitating aespa?" wrote netizens.
"I'm not a fan of either group, but the first picture really looks identical," wrote another.
