Lee Jae Wook is jealous after Jung So Min accidentally hugs Minhyuk in the 'Alchemy Of Souls' teaser

'Alchemy Of Souls' is about a country that doesn't exist in history or on maps. This drama will tell the story of a character whose fate becomes twisted due to magic that changes people's souls.

tvN has just shared new stills from its upcoming drama “Alchemy of Souls.” Written by the famous screenwriter duo known as the Hong Sisters, “Alchemy of Souls” is a fantasy romance drama set in the fictional country Daeho, a country that doesn't exist in history or on maps. This drama will tell the story of a character whose fate becomes twisted due to a magic that swaps people's souls.

Lee Jae Wook will be playing the sophisticated but troubled young master, Jang Wook of the Jang family. Jang Wook has a tragic background, with the entire nation of Daeho whispering about the shocking secret behind his humiliating birth. Despite appearing cold and indifferent on the outside, he burns with fiery mischief on the inside.

Next, Jung So Min plays the role of Mu Deok Yi, who secretly harbors the soul of the great killer, Nak Soo. However, this ferocious soul is trapped in an extremely weak body that cannot keep up with Nak Soo's strong spirit. After becoming Jang Wook's servant and secret teacher and starting to train him in a brutal and merciless way.

Then NU'EST's Hwang Minhyun played the role of Seo Youl, a genius descendant of the Seo noble family. Although perfect in every way—from his handsome looks to his brilliant mind and impressive literary and martial arts skills, he is too naive to be realistic. Seo Youl is also a hopeless romantic who harbors a pure love for a girl who is secretive.

In the newly released teaser for “Alchemy of Souls,” Jang Wook revealed that he was not an easy student to teach, stating, “I've looked for 12 different teachers, and I was rejected 12 times. And finally I found my destiny teacher who will change my destiny." However, the fated teacher wasn't on an easy journey: the next clip shows Jang Wook causing trouble to get frustrated Mu Deok Yi into trouble. While trying to discipline him, Jang Wook complains, " Why did you hit me?" and then whined, "Teacher, can't you see your students are having a hard time?" Mu Deok Yi then grumbled in response, "When you whine, you call me 'teacher', but when you order me, you are 'young master' ?'"

Despite his mischievous ways, Jang Wook soon develops feelings for his long-suffering mentor. When she saw him fall into the arms of the handsome Seo Youl, he got jealous and pleaded, "Teacher, don't trick me." Mu Deok Yi comments, “It takes effort not to fall in love with a handsome man,” making Jang Wook exclaim, “Then what about me? Oh, so you've been trying all this time because of me!” Mu Deok Yi sarcastically replied, "Not at all," and she anxiously stuttered, "Why not? But what you said is completely inconsistent! Just say that you have tried." Mu Deok Yi replied tonelessly, “Yes, young master,” to which he complained, “Say it sincerely!” Meanwhile, “Alchemy of Souls” will premiere on June 18. (wk/aiss)
