ASTRO's MJ had an interview shortly before the Singles magazine shoot. He talked about career paths, military enlistment and other things.
Launching Soompi, Thursday (26/5/2022), in an interview conducted before serving in the military, MJ talked about his debut as a musical actor and trot singer after a long time pursuing ASTRO's career.
“I spend time looking back on how grateful I am for the task I was given. There are no words to say about debuting in ASTRO, but I'm also thankful for the project group SUPERFIVE as well as my debut as a musical actor and solo artist. That's because I get a lot of opportunities when other people have a hard time even to find one opportunity," he said.
MJ also shared memories that made him frustrated. "It felt like all the stress I was going through was being resolved while venting my emotions out of the blue by crying, screaming and getting angry," he said.
MJ also talked about how empty it feels to appear on stage without the cheers of the fans. And this time it was the first face-to-face fan meeting in the last three years of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“The most memorable moment was making eye contact with each fan one by one at the fan meeting and telling them about my military enlistment.”
As is known, on May 16, ASTRO returned with their third full album entitled Drive To The Starry Road with the flagship single Candy Sugar Pop. In fact, MJ just enlisted in the military on May 9, 2022.
