Three well-known actors, So Ji Sub, Im Soo Hyang, and Shin Sung Rok were caught doing a script reading session for their upcoming Korean drama.
Quoting from Soompi, Wednesday (27/4/2022), the upcoming MBC drama that will be played by them is titled Dr Lawyer, which shares glimpses of several script reading sessions.
This drama is about a genius surgeon who becomes a medical malpractice lawyer after losing everything from a fake surgery, and a prosecutor from the Medical Crimes Department who loses his only family and lover through the operation.
Together, they punished those who believed that the importance of one's life could be ranked by the wealth, power and comfort of the victims who had been wronged. This drama is directed by Jang Hong Chul and scriptwriter Lee Yong Suk.
Therefore, actors So Ji Sub, Im Soo Hyang and Shin Sung Rok participated in the script reading. The actors were completely immersed in the role, and the teamwork was so perfect that it was hard to believe, if it was their first script reading.
So Ji Sub will play Han Yi Han, a medical malpractice lawyer who was once a certified genius doctor specializing in general surgery and thoracic surgery. Prior to the incident that occurred four years ago, he was a renowned surgeon at Bansuk University Hospital.
After becoming a medical malpractice attorney, he pursues the truth of a mysterious incident that causes a career change. This will be So Ji Sub's first drama in four years since “My Secret Terrius” in 2018.
During the script reading, the staff were very impressed with the portrayal of the role character in the drama, namely Han Yi Han. It was as if, he had thoroughly analyzed his character's expression from both the intonation of the pronunciation and the gaze.
Meanwhile, Shin Sung Rok will play Jayden Lee, the head of the Asia branch of Honors Hand, a company that specializes in lobbying and investment. He has the power to control everything with his words and actions, plus he does whatever he can to achieve success.
