Lee Sung Kyung and Kim Young Dae opened up about how they played their respective characters at the press conference for the upcoming tvN drama 'Shooting Stars'.
Today, Wednesday (20/4) the tvN drama "Shooting Stars" held a virtual press conference ahead of its premiere. This press conference was attended by the main cast and director.
At the press conference, the cast discussed the experience of filming "Shooting Stars". The cast tries hard to portray their characters well.
Lee Sung Kyung revealed that he ended up having frequent discussions with the staff at his agency in order to play Oh Han Byeol, the leader of the PR team. Because of playing his character, Lee Sung Kyung felt finally more grateful for understanding people's work better.
"I actually talk a lot with the people I work with at my agency with trust and concern for each other, and I consult the time I spend feeling their emotions and empathizing with them," said the beautiful 1990-born actress. .
"I think it's a tough job to do if the PR team just sees this as a job. Since it's a job taking care of people, I wonder if people will be able to do this work if they don't empathize with (celebrity issues) and take it as a if they themselves. In that respect, I'm very grateful, and (the staff) are people that I really care about," he continued.
Kim Young Dae also feels that he has a lot to learn from the other cast members. Kim Young Dae feels that he is not a famous star like the Gong Sung Tae that he plays. Thus, he learned a lot from Lee Sung Kyung and Yoon Jong Hoon. Kim Young Dae also claimed to be more grateful to the agency staff after starring in "Shooting Stars".
"I'm very grateful to the staff around me. I'm not actually a top star, so I wondered, 'How should I approach this (Gong Sung Tae)?' When I look carefully around me, (top stars) are all around me. Lee Sung Kyung and Yoon Jong Hoon are both top stars. I learned a lot on set," said the handsome actor born in 1996.
Kim Young Dae said, "I am really aware of the care I received while filming. I am grateful to the many people who work by my side. I learned a lot about the details of what the PR team does.
Meanwhile, "Shooting Stars" itself will premiere on April 22. This drama will fill the airing slot on Friday and Saturday. (wk/alpha)
