BTS, BLACKPINK and Kep1er Earn RIAJ Gold Certificate for Streaming in Japan

The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) has announced its latest official certification in March 2022. In the newly announced collection of RIAJ certifications, it is written that BTS, BLACKPINK and Kep1er are entitled to receive new official Certifications for streaming in Japan.

Please note, in 2020, RIAJ implemented a new certification system for streaming songs online. This is in addition to the previously existing certification system for physical album shipments and digital download sales.

Through the new system, songs that are entitled to be certified silver or silver are those that have reached 30 million streaming viewers. As for the gold category, it achieved 50 million streamers, and for platinum 100 million streams.

Kep1er itself this year managed to get their first RIAJ gold certification for the song 'WADADA', which surpassed 50 million streaming viewers in Japan in just three months.

Meanwhile, BTS and BLACKPINK each managed to receive two new gold certifications for the song 'Mic Drop' and 'Dope.' Likewise, Blackpink's song 'As If It's Your Last' which managed to get certified.
