While attending the 'Love and Leashes' press conference on Tuesday (8/2) today, Lee Jun Young revealed his difficulties while preparing for the role. Like what?
On Tuesday (8/2), Netflix held a press conference for its new film, "Love and Leashes". On this occasion, Lee Jun Young revealed a number of efforts he made to perfect the role.
During the press conference, Lee Jun Young said that he worked hard to portray the image of a big dog. He said, "The director said it would be fun if I looked like a big human version of a dog. I've watched a lot of Golden Retriever (a dog breed) videos. He smiles very comfortably when he laughs."
In response, director Park Hyun Jin commented, "I once said that it was a big dog, but I don't remember if I showed his breed as a Golden Retriever. It's interesting to know the fact that he is a big figure in contrast to hidden secrets."
The director then said that he asked Lee Jun Young to gain weight for the sake of this film. He stated, "When we first met, he was very skinny. So when we asked him to gain weight, he ate 6 hamburgers and gained 9 kilograms."
"But he doesn't look fat, so we asked for 'a little more' on set. When I brought the rice, my eyes naturally fell on Jun Young's plate," added the director.
Lee Jun Young admitted that it was very difficult for him to gain weight even though he ate 6 times a day. "I eat 6 times a day and even eat snacks, but it's still difficult. I eat, exercise, eat and work hard," he said.
Meanwhile, "Love and Leashes" tells the story of a man with unique tastes and a woman who knows his secret. The story begins when Jung Ji Woo (Girls' Generation's Seohyun), receives the wrong package for the purchase of S&M (a type of game that gives pain to increase sexual satisfaction). The package was actually bought by his coworker named Jung Ji Hoo (Lee Jun Young).
Jung Ji Hoo then explained about his fetish to Jung Ji Woo. After hearing Jung Ji Hoo's explanation, Jung Ji Woo thought that he might also have the same BDSM fantasy as him. Since then, they decided to be in a relationship for three months.
