Not yet officially debuted, the TEMPEST boy group has now been hit by a plagiarism controversy.
The controversy began when TEMPEST released their 48-second debut trailer video on January 21, 2022 yesterday.
After watching the trailer, fans realized that some of the scenes in the trailer video were similar to the concept used by TREASURE.
The first scene is when Hyuk TEMPEST becomes a researcher and the scene is very similar to the scene played by Asahi TREASURE in the debut concept video.
Then the TEMPEST Hanbin scene jumping into the pool is also very similar to the Haruto TREASURE scene in the "BOY" music video.
Next up is the Taerae TEMPEST scene with a glowing globe, which is very similar to Bang Ye Dam's TREASURE scene in the debut concept video.
Finally, there is the scene of Lew TEMPEST playing a drum instrument, which is similar to the scene from Hyunsuk TREASURE.
After seeing the many similarities between the concepts of TEMPEST and TREASURE, fans immediately gave their criticism to the Yue Hua Entertainment agency because they were considered to have plagiarized the concept of the group made by the YG Entertainment agency.
