Super Junior's 'U' Music Video Becomes SM's 10th Remastering Project
For the first time in the history of the development of the K-Pop industry, SM Entertainment together with YouTube Music Asia Partnership Asia Pacific, officially introduced their collaborative project on November 4, 2021 in Seoul, South Korea. The two collaborated on a music video remake project that SM Entertainment released from the 1900s to the 2000s.

In its journey to participate in developing the K-Pop industry, SM Entertainment has debuted many young talents through several groups that were formed. So that the released music works have been widely enjoyed by all fans in the world.

To date, the number of music videos remade in this project is 10 videos. Starting from the music videos of H.O.T, SHINWA, S.E.S, Fly To The Sky, Yoo Young Jin, BoA, to Super Junior and most likely the number of videos that will be remade will increase in number.

Super Junior as a second-generation K-Pop idol who is still actively filling various shows in Korea, was exclusively selected to participate in this project through the music video titled "U" which was released in 2006.

Prior to remaking, this video was only published in a limited resolution. But after being remade, the resulting resolution reaches a quality of up to 2160 pixels. This "U" music video is the 10th SM Remastering project, after previously H.O.T's "Age of Violence" music video was the first project released.

The single "U" was released to coincide with the inauguration of the formation of Super Junior's 13 members, with Kyuhyun as the last and youngest member of Super Junior. This song is still actively performed by Super Junior through various occasions, such as during the Super Show world tour concert, K-Pop music concerts to being re-shown by the idol group Seventeen.

It is important to understand that one of the goals of this project is to remember the history of K-Pop and its importance for the development of today's K-Pop which has appeared fresher wrapped in advanced technology in the process.

SM Entertainment CEO Lee Seong Su said that it is important to know how the history of K-Pop has developed to date, "I think this knowledge and understanding will make people love K-Pop even more.
