Park So Dam's latest film, "Special Delivery" was released on January 12. Shortly after hitting the screens, the film received positive reviews from audiences.
"Special Delivery" itself tells the story of Eun Ha (Park So Dam) who works as a special delivery courier. Good at driving, Eun Ha has a 100 percent success rate in her deliveries regardless of what or who gets sent. But suddenly Eun Ha had an unexpected incident because she was carrying a small child.
On the first day of broadcast, "Special Delivery" successfully attracted 37,055 viewers to the cinema based on ticket purchases recorded by the Korean Film Council. This film even beat "Spider-Man: Now Way Home" which is currently topping the box office list.
Viewers who have watched "Special Delivery" praised Park So Dam and Song Sae Byeok's acting skills. Although most of the scenes are car chases, the acting skill of the two does not go unnoticed by viewers. Even Song Sae Byeok is touted as the best villain in Korean films.
It turns out that the thrilling chase scene has also made viewers fall in love. Even the film is predicted to be the Korean version of "Fast and Furious".
"A fierce and very thrilling racing scene," said one viewer. "It's like the Korean version of 'Fast and Furios,'" said another viewer.
Not only scenes, the OST or accompanying music in "Special Delivery" also received positive reviews. "Thanks to the interesting and thrilling music, I can focus more on the film," said another audience.
Overall, the audience found "Special Delivery" very interesting to watch. Even so, there are still viewers who criticize the predictable storyline.
"108 minutes went by so fast and it felt like only 18 minutes," commented one viewer. "What a crime, action, and entertainment film to mark the beginning of the new year 2022," said another.
