Kim Chaehyun Kep1er is known as a former SM Entertainment trainee. Despite not making his debut with the company and eventually entering "Girls Planet 999" for a chance to debut, he remains on good terms with the aespa members.

Chaehyun recently made his debut with Kep1er after winning a coveted spot in the final lineup. In this regard, he shared in a brief press interview with Korean media that his debut received congratulations from many people around him.

In particular, Kim Chaehyun discussed aespa, which several members had trained with at SM Entertainment. "Aespa sunbaenim contacted me to congratulate and say things like, 'Now we'll meet at the broadcasting station,' and 'Sari we'll meet in the waiting room.'"

Kim Chae Hyun added, "Because they were busy, we couldn't see each other for a long time but I managed to see them for the first time in a long time."

Prior to joining "Girls Planet 999," Kim Chaehyun was a trainee at SM Entertainment. They have wowed the judges with the cover of "Black Mamba" which Aespa popularized as the debut song.

Kim Chaehyun had a similar path, training under SM Entertainment before joining the show. They trained with Karina, Winter and Ningning who all debuted in aespa in November last year.

Chaehyun is rumored to be debuting with aespa before their official lineup is announced. If things go differently, he could have a chance to debut in aespa.

Meanwhile, Kep1er officially debuted on January 3, 2021. The girl group released the first mini album entitled "FIRST IMPACT" along with the music video for the title track entitled "WA DA DA."

The song opens with a curious intro followed by an impressive rap. The whole song itself seems energetic with upbeat music. (wk/chus)
