On Thursday (6/1), tvN released a poster of its new drama entitled "Twenty-Five, Twenty-One". This poster focuses on the two main characters, Nam Joo Hyuk and Kim Tae Ri.
Set in 1998, "Twenty-Five, Twenty-One" tells the story of young people who find new direction and growth after their dreams have been snatched away. Nam Joo Hyuk and Kim Tae Ri play Baek Yi Jin and Na Hee Do, who first met at the ages of 22 and 18, but only fell in love when they were 25 and 21.
In more detail, Na Hee Do is described as a fencer whose high school team was disbanded due to the IMF crisis. Even though his dream seemed to have been shattered, he continued forward without giving up.
On the other hand, Baek Yi Jin is the eldest son of a family devastated by the IMF crisis. Despite his difficult background, he worked hard to become a reporter.
The newly released poster provides a glimpse into the lives of Na Hee Do and Baek Yi Jin. Na Hee Do is smiling brightly with his hands in his pockets, and he is surrounded with articles about himself. On the other hand, Baek Yi Jin was sitting in Na Hee Do's journal with a gentle smile on his face.
In particular, Baek Yi Jin is above the word "Twenty-Five", while Na Hee Do is positioned above the word "Twenty-One", which emphasizes the importance of the drama title. The caption of the poster is also quite eye-catching as it reads, "Wherever you are, I will go and reach out to you."
In conjunction with this release, the production company Hwa&Dam Pictures is raising viewers' anticipation by mentioning the chemistry of Nam Joo Hyuk and Kim Tae Ri. They stated, "The refreshing synergy between Kim Tae Ri who plays 21-year-old Na Hee Do, and Nam Joo Hyuk who plays 25-year-old Baek Yi Jin, is reflected in the 'old poster'."
"Stay tuned for 'Twenty-Five, Twenty-One' to see how the youthful chemistry between Kim Tae Ri and Nam Joo Hyuk, who perfectly portrays their characters, will be reflected in every moment," added Hwa&Dam Pictures.
Meanwhile, "Twenty-Five, Twenty-One" is prepared to replace the broadcast slot for "Bulgasal: Immortal Souls" on tvN Saturday - Sunday. If according to plan, the drama directed by "The King: Eternal Monarch" will start airing on February 12, 2022. (wk/eval)
