Freezia is now under fire for misinterpreting kimchi food as pao cai in one of her old Youtube content. The video was first uploaded in August 2020 by Bili Bili.
The YouTube channel shows Freezia learning Mandarin. In the video, Freezia says that she will eat kimchi. "I got home and was going to eat boiled kimchi," he said at the time.
The problem is that Freezia's translation of the text says that the food that should be written "kimchi" is actually translated as "pao cai", thus triggering sharp criticism. Of course it was not Freezia who wrote the translated text.
However, netizens believe that Freezia also took part in it. Therefore, he was criticized for it.
"Kimchi is not pao cai," wrote netizens. "Why do they write 'pao cai'?" write another. "That's not pao cai, for God's sake," another commented and more.
To address this, it was revealed that on Monday (24/1), Freezia HyoWon's agency CNC confirmed about the error that caused controversy once again. "We apologize for the pao cai controversy involving Song Ji A. We don't have anything to say," the agency said in a clarification.
As is known, pao cai itself is also known as Chinese pickles. It is a type of traditional Chinese fermented vegetable that is also a specialty of the country's cuisine.
Meanwhile, Freezia has recently become the most talked-about star after her appearance on Netflix's variety show "Single's Inferno". Thanks to its popularity, Freezia has gained many subscribers and followers on social media.
