Lee Donghae previously reported that he would undergo knee surgery. Donghae has been preparing at the hospital since Thursday (13/1) and notified fans through the Bubble application.
Donghae's knee injury was first noticed in October 2021. The Super Junior member was unable to attend an event due to his injury.
But now fans don't need to worry because Donghae has gone through knee surgery well. Via an Instagram account. Donghae shared a portrait of him lying in a hospital bed while raising his hand in a two-finger pose.
"Thanks to your prayers, the operation went very well!" Donghae wrote on Sunday (16/1). "See you on stage in good shape after recovering quickly and being rehabilitated :)"
Prayers for Lee Donghae's recovery were widely written. One of them was from Kim Heechul who alluded to their age who were both no longer young and wrote his prayer.
"The man who used to be 17 is now 37.. Actually I am (the head) 4...." commented the former lover of Momo Twice. "Don't get sick anymore, we all really..."
Leslie Grace, who had collaborated with Super Junior when releasing the song "Lo Siento" in 2018, also prayed for Donghae's recovery. "Get well soon! (get well soon!)," wrote the Latin singer.
Previously, Donghae had also made ELF, the name of Super Junior's fandom, worried after being injected with the Covid-19 vaccine. Donghae had suffered severe side effects around August 2021.
Even so, ELF's worries have been 'paid for' with Donghae's next works. Starting from the digital single "California Love" to the album "Countdown" the Super Junior D&E sub unit with Eunhyuk has managed to entertain ELFs around the world. (wk/nere)
