Recently, DSP Media has announced the disbandment of their girl group, APRIL, who has worked together for almost 7 years.
The decision was taken by the agency and all of APRIL's members after much deliberation, with the end result being to pursue their respective careers separately.
Having written a message for fans through their fancafe, one of the APRIL members, Yena added by writing a long statement on her personal Instagram.
Through the message, Yena discussed her lawsuit against Hyunjoo (a former APRIL member) who previously admitted to being a victim of bullying by other APRIL members.
“As you can see on the news, APRIL has disbanded as of today.
Now, I am writing this post in hopes of preventing any unfounded rumors or speculations that might arise from the disbandment of the group.
I would like to clarify that the disbandment of the group in no way means that we acknowledge any of the allegations in the controversy, nor does it mean that we are unsure of our position.
After that day, APRIL's name was badly tarnished, and the members and I continued to suffer from injuries, so we came to a joint decision with the agency to disband the group due to the fact that it would be difficult to recover from such a condition.
Furthermore, I have concluded that prosecuting with legal action is also meaningless at this point.
In the past year, this controversy has had a significant impact on my mental health.
The incident I am accused of did not happen, but I don't know how to prove to anyone that it did, and after learning that legal process cannot help you prove your innocence, I have decided to withdraw my lawsuit.
However, my position remains unchanged.
I have sought the assistance of the legal team for myself individually, and will respond to slander, malicious comments, or the spread of false rumors in a firm manner." Yena wrote through her Instagram, sheepyn_0824. (www.kpopchart.net)
