Money Heist is a heist drama series from Spain that focuses on a team, headed by a figure named The Professor who intends to carry out the biggest heist in world history.

Full of intrigue and twists typical of telenovelas, this series has won the hearts of fans all over the world since it aired in May 2017.

After finishing in December 2021, the Money Heist series will apparently soon get a remake from South Korea and starring Park Hae-Soo, an actor who is now skyrocketing in the international television industry thanks to Squid Game.

"I'm Park Hae-Soo and I play Berlin in the Korean version of Money Heist," he said, quoted from a video uploaded on Twitter, Wednesday (12/8/2021).

“It is an honor for me to be involved in this amazing series. And even more so to make Berlin such a great character."

In the original version, Money Heist had an iconic element that made this series so well known around the world, namely the Salvador Dali mask.

Having a significant meaning for the revolution of the Spanish society, the Money Heist Korea team will also display a typical South Korean mask which is just as iconic in their version.

"Thank you Pedro for sending this famous mask," said Hae-Soo referring to actor Pedro Alonso, who played Berlin in the original Money Heist.

“In the Korean version, we also have a special mask. When we show it early next year, I will send one for Pedro."

Besides starring Park Hae-Soo, the Korean version of the Money Heist series will also be enlivened by Yoo Ji-Tae, Jeon Jong-Seo, Lee Won-Jong, and Park Myung-Hoon. Written by Ryu Yong-Jae and directed by Kim Sung-Ho, the series has yet to have an official broadcast date but is confirmed to be ready to air in 2022.

“As an actor and a fan of the series, I want to thank the cast and crew of Money Heist for creating a series as good as this. We can't wait to bring you the Korean version of Money Heist in 2022," he said. /celebrities.id
