The sequel to "The Pirates" titled "The Pirates: Goblin Flag" is one of the most anticipated releases. This film tells the story of a group of lucky seekers who go down to the high seas in search of lost treasure.
In "The Pirates: Goblin Flag", Kang Ha Neul played Woo Moo Chi, a bandit leader who claims to be the best swordsman in Goryeo. Meanwhile, Han Hyo Joo plays a tough pirate captain and the owner of the Hae Rang ship.
Lee Kwang Soo plays Mak Yi, who dreams of becoming a pirate king, EXO's Sehun plays Han Goong, a talented archer and Kwon Sang Woo plays the villain Boo Heung Soo, a rebel who is also after a lost treasure.
The newly released trailer gives a glimpse of the treasure and all the different characters desperately searching for it in a struggle with one another. Woo Moo Chi told his crew with a frustrated expression, "Treasure! Treasure!"
Whereas Mak Yi seemed to be telling a story to everyone on his ship but as they all looked at him expectantly, he irritated them by suddenly asking "Wait, where are we?"
The trailer continues by showing the arduous journey that lies ahead of the pirates, which will include storms, earthquakes, and many more terrifying obstacles. At one point, Woo Moo Chi said, "I will stay here and guard the ship".
But a displeased Hae Rang responded by kicking him off his boat and smiling wryly. Amid flashes of high-intensity action scenes, the caption promises a mix of "action, comedy and love".
The trailer ends with Hae Rang asking Woo Moo Chi with a glint of determination in his eyes, "Shall we go?" The man replied, "Should we?" Meanwhile, "The Pirates: Goblin Flag" is scheduled to be released in 2022. Wait for the latest information here. (wk/charity)
