Soojin's expulsion from (G)I-DLE spread to the ITZY girl group member, Lia. The reason is, Lia ITZY also stumbled upon a case of alleged bullying.
However, until now Lia is still a member of ITZY, although the investigation into Lia's bullying case is still ongoing.
An online community forum questioned the treatment of Cube Entertainment's agency that fired Soojin. Korean netizens compare the case of Lia and Soojin.
"Are they trying to defend it and continue without any explanation? Looks like they (ITZY) will make a comeback studio album with this situation. Wouldn't it be easier to clear up the situation properly before making a comeback??" wrote a netizen, quoted from Allkpop, Tuesday (17/8/2021).
Most of the netizen comments questioned the continuation of Lia's case.
"I just feel very uncomfortable. Someone who could be a nuisance has ruined Soojin's future. I'm not really interested in hearing JYP Entertainment's opinion, but I really want to see Lia write her own letter, "wrote netizens.
"I know what you're doing, JYP? The atmosphere is hot because of Soojin's departure and if you want a comeback, you have to prepare well. The situation is so gray now that it's disturbing," wrote another.
