There is one thing that stands out from Renjun that made him choose SM Entertainment in the end. More specifically, it was one boy group that made the decision a lot easier for him.
NCT DREAM's Mark Lee, Chenle, Renjun, and Jisung are the newest guests at K-Pop Daebak DIVE Studios with Eric Nam. During the episode, Renjun revealed what motivated him to become an idol and why he chose SM Entertainment.
In particular, host Eric Nam asked each member about their route to becoming an idol. For Renjun, it wasn't as simple as most. Born in China, he had to make the decision to move to Korea to fulfill his dream. However, it was an easy choice to move after something he loved.
"I started when I auditioned globally. I loved listening to K-Pop as a child. Rain, Wonder Girls 'Nobody' was my favorite. That's when I learned about K-Pop, and I've been interested since then," said Renjun.
However, when it comes to choosing which K-Pop agency to join, it is not easy for Renjun to make a decision. "I watched a TV show called K-Pop Star, and there were three labels, SM, YG, and JYP. So I thought these companies were amazing," he recalled.
There is one thing that stands out from Renjun that made him choose SM Entertainment in the end. More specifically, it was one boy group that made the decision a lot easier for him.
"I hesitated (when choosing) an agency because they change often. But, after seeing EXO, I decided to enter SM, so I signed up for a global audition," said Renjun.
Like many other idols, EXO seems to be the group that helped pave its way into the K-Pop industry. As NCT continues to grow, there's no denying that it will influence many future idols in several ways. (wk/goddess)
