The drama titled 'My Man is Cupid' tells the story of a fairy who falls in love after being shot by her own arrow. The drama started shooting in the second half of this year.
Jang Dong Yoon earlier this year was supposed to greet the audience through the drama "Joseon Exorcist". However, only two episodes aired, the SBS drama was immediately suspended due to the plot and use of properties that did not match history.
Now on Thursday (8/7), local media reported that Jang Dong Yoon would comeback to star in the drama "My Man is Cupid" (literal title). This report was immediately responded to by the agency which stated that the actor was considering the acting offer.
"Jang Dong Yoon is positively reviewing the casting offer for 'My Man is Cupid'," said a representative of DongYi Company's agency. The drama tells the story of a fairy who falls in love after being shot by her own arrow and a woman who loses her soulmate after becoming entangled in this situation.
Jang Dong Yoon was offered the role of cupid Cheon Sang Hyuk. He is the longtime owner of Sarangbang, an upscale Korean restaurant chain in Jongno, Seoul. Cheon Sang Hyuk goes missing after working as a detective at the Jongno Police Station. He was a man who had built an impenetrable wall between him and the women and fairies who had burned his wings for 500 years.
"My Man is Cupid" which is about a forbidden romance with a fairy will be produced by HB Entertainment and written by writer Heo Sung Hee. The drama will start filming in the second half of this year and the broadcasting channel has not yet been decided.
The news of Jang Dong Yoon's casting immediately reaped an enthusiastic response from Indonesian fans who were really looking forward to the handsome actor's acting. Many netizens also hope that Jang Dong Yoon will return to acting with Krystal, his co-star in "Search".
