“Crash Landing on You” is returning in musical form!
On March 29, production company Pop Music revealed that tvN's “Crash Landing on You” will be adapted into a musical in 2022.
“Crash Landing on You” tells the story of a wealthy South Korean woman named Yoon Se Ri (Son Ye Jin), who is forced to make an emergency landing in North Korea during a paragliding trip. There, he meets Ri Jung Hyuk (Hyun Bin), an elite North Korean officer in the military. This latest series set a new record for the highest viewership rating in tvN history, scoring an average national rating of 21.7 percent and a peak rating of 24.1 percent. The drama, which is available on Netflix, is also receiving love from around the world.
According to sources from Pop Music and T2N Media, the production company has completed signing global publication rights with Studio Dragon and they plan to have shows starting in Seoul in mid-2022.
Pop Music CEO Kim Jin Seok shared, “We concluded a deal for publication rights with Studio Dragon, and we plan to start selecting the main staff and start casting. We will do our best to make a good project.
