A song from SuperM's debut mini album was highlighted along with the boy group WayV. Currently, the NCT subunit for the China region is receiving attention due to their past comments about SuperM's song "I Can't Stand The Rain."

In a post on an online community site recently, netizens pointed out that WayV discussed SuperM during one of their past live broadcasts. In the video, the WayVs talk about SuperM.

"Have you seen SuperM?" asked the youngest member Yangyang. "It has a monumental feeling, the feeling makes your chest ring. The song 'I Can't Stand The Rain" has Chinese nuances, "commented Xiaojun.

"You're right. I think there is an erhu (traditional Chinese instrument) sound at the end of the song," Yangyang said. "Yes, that's erhu," said Kun the leader. "It's amazing, like combining Western and Chinese styles," Kun continued.

However, SuperM's "I Can't Stand The Rain" is described as a fusion pop dance genre that combines Western pop with traditional Korean instruments such as the daebuk (Korean barrel-shaped drum) and ajaeng (Korean string instrument).

Here, fans also point out that the WayV members Ten and Lucas, who are also SuperM members, never mentioned anything similar during their promotions. This broadcast itself was carried out without the two members.

Responding to the WayV members' statements, Korean netizens also criticized for not agreeing. Most of them objected that the song "I Can't Stand the Rain" had Chinese elements and criticized WayV for this opinion. (wk / dewi)
