Dear.M was produced over several episodes. Unlike Korean dramas in general, which air two episodes in one week, Dear.M will only present one episode.

Actress Kim Sae Ron was previously hooked up to be the main character. But suddenly Kim Sae Ron announced that he would step down from this project. Kim Sae Ron's decision to discontinue the role in Dear.M was mentioned due to disagreements. After Kim Sae Ron resigned, Park Hye Soo's name appeared as his replacement.
