Stray Kids is again stealing global attention through the released song. They even made it into the TIME magazine's 10 Best Songs list 2020.
On November 23, 2020 local time, TIME magazine released an annual list containing the 10 songs they considered the best throughout 2020. Stray Kids made it to the list for the first time.
The song Back Door won 8th place on the list. The song released by Stray Kids in September 2020 stole attention through a unique, catchy genre.
"There are dramatic airhorns, slick R&B breaks, jazz interludes, trapping mixes on the chorus, to electronic beats that will rock the crowd. Coupled with all kinds of things that can be found in underground clubs," wrote TIME.
"It's hard not to be blown away by the extraordinary courage of the song. Both in the multi-layered production and the extraordinary energy shown by the eight members of Stray Kids," he concluded.
Back Door is a song that was released along with Stray Kids' repackaged album entitled IN 生 (IN LIFE). Ahead of its release, they even set a pre-order record that touched 300 thousand units.
This figure beat the previous record achieved by Stray Kids through the album GO 生 (GO LIVE) which was released in June 2029. At that time, pre-orders for the album reached 200 thousand units.
The IN 生 album consists of 17 songs, and all the members participated in the songwriting. Meanwhile, Back Door itself was created by three Stray Kids members who are members of 3RACHA (Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han).
Stray Kids also previously won the first award outside Korea and outside Asia through the MTV Europe Music Awards 2020. The brand won the Best Korean Act award.
