On November 24, 2020 local time, the Recording Academy announced its nominations for the 2021 Grammy Awards. The Dynamite song won BTS the nomination for Best Pop Duo / Group Performance.


BTS was nominated with J Balvin, Dua Lipa, Bad Bunny, and Tainy through the song Un Dia (One Day), as well as Intentions which is a duet of Justin Bieber and Quavo. In addition, there is also a collaboration between Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande through Rain on Me and Exile by Taylor Swift and Bon Iver.


The Grammy nomination is the highest BTS achievement that they have been dreaming of. In a number of interviews, the members, especially Suga, often expressed their hopes of appearing at the Grammys on their own stage and being nominated in one of the categories.


After this dream finally came true, BTS could not hide their joy. They uploaded a reaction video while waiting for the announcement of the Grammy Awards nominations on BTS's official Twitter and looked very happy.

Big Hit Entertainment also released a statement regarding BTS's great achievements at the Grammy Awards. They claim to be very happy for BTS and ARMY.
