TIME Magazine Comes Soon to BTS Special Edition. But the Editor Makes Changes to Magazine Content After Receiving Counterattack from Global Sensation Group Fans.

TIME Magazine soon presents a special edition of BTS (Bangtan Boys). But the editor made changes to the contents of the magazine after receiving a counterattack from fans.

Earlier this week, TIME opened a pre-order for a special edition titled "TIME BTS: The K-Pop Band that Conquered the World" in collaboration with publisher Meredith. Fans criticized the cover design which was considered tacky and lacking in intention. Some even doubt that the magazine is an official publication.

In response, TIME assured fans that the magazine would actually be released at the end of the month. Through Twitter, they stated. "Note for BTS fans: 'TIME BTS: The K-Pop Band that Conquered the World' was made as a special edition magazine book in collaboration with the publisher Meredith. This is an authentic special edition publication and will be released on July 31."

In addition to the cover design, the contents of the magazine also caused controversy. Fans have found that there is a special rubric about Jin's military registration. In addition, TIME also discussed the success of Western groups such as Backstreet Boys and NSYNC, claiming that they paved the way for BTS.

"TIME magazine not only writes about white boy bands that pave the way for BTS, they also write entire pages about Jin's military registration and have a few pages of wrong information. Plus the cover is disgusting," fan criticism.

"BTS became a Language Artist who won Global fame in the racist industry but Big Hit was very brave to agree an article discrediting BTS's hard work that said Backstreet Boys and NSYNC paved the way for them? On what grounds? Between the two of them which Language Artist "BTS made their own success," added another fan.

TIME and Meredith have since re-edited the contents of the magazine to correct errors. They have removed the controversial sentence that mentions Backstreet Boys and NSYNC.
