Lia is known to come from a rich family. Lia attends Seoul Performing Arts High School or SOPA, a school known as an alumni of many popular idols. Before going to SOPA, Lia went to North London Collegiate School in Jeju where the school fees for one year were 60 million won or around Rp. 751 million.
Before debuting as ITZY personnel, Lia was quite well known as one of JYP Entertainment's trainees. He had watched the TWICE concert with another trainee namely Shin Ryujin and their photos had been the subject of public discussion, including the branded goods they were wearing.
2. Debut
On January 21, 2019, JYP Entertainment announced that they would debut a new girl group called ITZY. On February 12, ITZY released their debut single album, "It'z Different", with the title track titled "Dalla Dalla". This song combines elements from EDM subgenres such as future house and bass house.
ITZY scored one of the biggest Billboard debuts for the new K-pop group in a few years where the single "Dalla Dalla" managed to occupy the 2nd position on the World Digital Song Sales chart. The song also sold 2,000 downloads in the United States, making it the best-selling K-pop song in America in the second week of February 2019.
3. Career Peak
In November 2019, "Dalla Dalla" surpassed 100 million streaming on the Gaon Music Chart, delivering ITZY to their first platinum certification. This is also the first debut song by a K-pop group that has received platinum certification from the Korea Music Content Association since the introduction of certification in April 2018.
This single is also ranked No. 8 on the "The 20 Best K-pop Songs of 2019" list by Dazed. The music videos "Dalla Dalla" and "ICY" are included in the list of the most popular South Korean music videos on YouTube, respectively at No. 2 and 7. At the end of the year, ITZY won several Best New Female Artist awards, including at the Melon Music Awards and Mnet Asian Music Awards 2019.
4. Solo Activities
Since ITZY is still classified as a rookie group, Lia does not yet have solo activities outside group activities because ITZY personnel are still focused on the team. But with visuals, sweet voice and ability to speak English, Lia is believed to be a busy idol in the future.
5. Controversy
Lia has no significant controversy and her image is good in the eyes of the public. But in March 2019 or a month after ITZY debuted, he had a chance to talk about his old photos with his ex-girlfriend circulating on the internet.
